Farmers file charges vs. retired general for alleged harassment

-
More than 20 farmers and some barangay officials from barangay Tabunan, Cebu City went to the Service and Security Group at the Cebu City Police Office to file a case against Kantipla Ecosystem Enhancement Protection Foundation and its founding chairman Tiburcio Fusilero for the alleged harassment he had done on farmers.

Ikatulo, pagpani-on; ikaupat, pagpamun-og ug pagpamusil sa kahayupan."

He added that there were four men from the KEEP Foundation who permanently went up the mountain and harassed the farmers.

Farmers filed their complaints at the Service and Security Group since this was a police matter. "This is a police matter so diri gyud ang proper filing. Kuhaan ni sila og affidavit then buhatan og complaintship nga isang-at sa prosecutor's office," P/Supt. Mariano Natuel said.

Meanwhile, Fusilero disclosed there was selling of land to private people, which is wrong because the area is declared a watershed.
