Arrest warrant out for Benaojan alleged killer

The Regional Trial Court has issued an arrest warrant for the suspect in the killing of radio reporter George Benaojan.
RTC branch 21 Judge Eric Menchavez issued the warrant last December 20, the day after the murder case was raffled to his sala. He then ordered the Talisay City police to arrest Roberto Jagdon. No bail has been recommended.
Jagdon is a resident of Maghaway Road, Camella Homes, Lawaan I, Talisay City.
Adriano "Jammy" Llanos, 40, Benaojan's fiancée Rhea Flores, and a 16-year-old nephew and storekeeper have tagged Jagdon as the killer. All have executed affidavits.
Llanos, the dyDD Bantay Taxi president, pointed to Jagdon as the one who shot Benaojan. He was with the reporter when the incident happened.
The 27-year-old Benaojan, a dyDD reporter, was shot to death on December 1 while tending his store at the South Central Market in Talisay City. - Liv G. Campo
