Radisson Blu’s Lyle Lewis in Focus

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Congratulations and a toast to our good friend Lyle Lewis, General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu and Vice President for the Philippines and Japan of the Carlson Rezidor Group, who was recently awarded the Carlson Fellows Award in a special rites in Stockholm, Sweden. The Carlson Fellows Award is annually given to a select few members of Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company based in Minneapolis, USA.

Carlson chairman Diana Nelson said: "Winning the awards is a career highlight, and it is our most recognized and revered award, and it marks the success in the company and a lifetime of achievement."

"A Fellows award is the highest honor we offer to anyone who has ever been an employee or executive at Carlson," explained Trudy Rautio, president and chief executive officer, Carlson.

Trudy further explains that "Lyle is recognized for his strong leadership style, legendary sense of humor and care for his employees, not only grew his employee satisfaction scores, but also drove his hotel to the top spot in the market, all while delivering outstanding results."

And speaking of Radisson Blu, an exclusive preview of Executive Chef Marco Amarone of Italy and Executive Sous Chef Lee Leung Joon from South Korea presenting their respective cuisine had a select few members of media personalities watching the chefs doing the actual cooking of their menus. After which, the media people dined and wined with the chefs. And yummy were their dishes!

Exclusivity gets a whole new treatment at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu with the Chef's Table. Wine and dine right in the kitchen or in the Japanese station of the pulse of the hotel's award-winning resto, Feria, as they open up their kitchen doors to Cebu's discriminating gastrophiles.

Starting at just P1,500 net per person and for a minimum of six, cocktails will greet you at your venue at 6:30PM. Head into your dining experience behind closed doors to experience live and theatrical cooking by two of the hotel's international roster of head chefs. At any given day, your chef's table may be headed by Chef Marco Amarone from Italy, Chef Lee Seung Joon from South Korea, Chef Siu Man "Peter" Yeung from Hong Kong or home-grown Chef Randy Origenes.

Dinner will also be accompanied by ambient instrumental music. The menu can be chef's discretion or guests may request to customize the menu for their maximum enjoyment with different cuisines such as Korean, Japanese, Italian, Chinese or Filipino. Prior reservations of at least 48 hours are strongly encouraged and a maximum of 16 may be entertained.
