AboitizLand launched its 15th project recently and this is its first community in Cordova, Cebu.
During a press conference held at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa, Ajoya, meaning joy, was introduced to the media. A 15-hectare development, Ajoya has a vibrant modern Asian Filipino concept. Amenities are: open type clubhouse to celebrate family milestones, leisure pool and basketball court for fitness and sports activities; a green community area with playground where children can revisit the Filipino culture/games enjoyed by their parents, and a picnic area where residents can spend the whole day through.
Revealed to us was the use of concrete Shear Walls for all house and lot structures. Shear is rarely used in other buildings or structures, but is used practically in all Ajoya constructions. And most beautifully, Ajoya is located along the river created as a venue for family bonding and relaxation while enjoying the breeze and what nature has to offer.
At the formal launch at the Pueblo Verde in Mactan, a unique presentation was the bringing of the scale model of Ajoya’s Haliya house model bayanihan style headed by Andoni Aboitiz, president and CEO with Cordova Mayor Adelino Sitoy, Vice Mayor Rodrigo Jumao-as, Brgy. Capt. Celedonio Sitoy, Pia Mantecon, AboitizLand Residential Business Unit head, Nilda Revina, AboitizLand Industrial/Business Unit head, and Armin Raquel Santos, AboitizLand Chief Finance Officer.
Providing entertainment during the launch was the Gatswalt Dance Company, grand prize winner of Sinulog 2010 – school division.
