International Feng Shui Expert Marites Allen breezed into town recently for a very interesting and much-awaited event dubbed “Marites Allen Feng Shui Spectacular: Riding The Golden Tiger 2010,” which was organized by Insignia Global Concepts and the World of Feng Shui Philippines. It was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel wherein Feng Shui enthusiasts from the metro and even from the neighboring cities around Visayas and Mindanao converged, all excited to hear from Ms. Allen herself what’s up for them in this year of the “Metal Tiger.”
The audience were caught in awe when the star of the show entered the ballroom in an eye catching turquoise tiger-inspired masterpiece by Dexter Alazas. The Cebu Eastern College Dance Club performed a Lion Dance, while the multi-talented and pretty Cebu Divettes performed a festive Chinese Fan Dance.
Ms. Allen’s interesting discussion included some very informative details on feng shui, its four pillars chart, 12 animal signs, face reading, recommendations and some advice on how to be on the go in this Year of the Metal Tiger. The stunning former Ms. Earth Karla Paula Henry hosted the event and at the same time showed her modeling prowess as she joined some of her colleagues from AD Models Homme et Femme through a mini fashion show to add glitter to the affair. The fashion show featured some Bench polo shirts designed by Ms. Allen herself and her very own line of tote bags and fashion jewelry. Of course, the impressive water-inspired collection of the “Prince of Cebu Fashion,” Dexter Alazas, was also featured.
