Re-sculpting the human Body

- Ruth Mercado -

CEBU, Philippines - If after all the huffing and puffing those fat cell deposits in your body become exercise-resistant and just won’t shed off, you may need a little external help.

What New Life aesthetic and plastic surgeons and Slimmers World have in common is that they both promote lifestyle and diet modification to stay in shape. The other thing is they have the technology to re-sculpt your body into your desired shape where exercise didn’t quite give you what you want.

Slimmers World has biolift, a 30-minute treatment that lifts and tightens the abdomen and buttocks by eliminating excess fats to reshape the buttocks. Biolift uses micro-current energy distributed by a point probe that creates a massage contraction effect thus causing the sagging abdomen or buttocks to tighten. This massage also improves circulation and enhances metabolism. Benefits of this non-invasive slimming treatment are that it lifts and tightens sagging area, reshapes and prevents further sagging, stimulates blood circulation and promotes relaxation.

The other option is aesthetic surgery in the tummy area, breasts and body. Tummy tuck is designed to remove excess skin and fat in the tummy area to tighten abdominal muscles. There is breast surgery where these vary like breast augmentation fills in the breast. Breast reduction gets rid of unwanted size. Breast lift gets those breasts youthfully shaped and positioned.

Whole body liposculpture are simple procedures to re-sculpt the body into shape. This involves liposuction or the removal of unwanted localized fat cell deposits from the body. There is facial liposuction that is performed to remove excess fat in the cheeks, chin and neck. Liposculpture procedure which involves putting the right curves in the right places.

No excuses

New Life aesthetic and plastic surgeons dismissed myths that liposculpture is the end-all solution to stay in shape. In a Feb. 19 press conference held in Cebu City, New Life Center surgeon Mark Sison said that the best candidates for liposuction or liposculpture are those who have a lifestyle for exercise because their vital organs are strong enough to go through surgery.

Said Sison, “The ideal candidates for liposculpture and liposuction are those who are not obese, those who are not overweight, those who go to the gym, try to diet, try to shed off weight and try to get into shape without surgery at first but cannot attain the shape they want because of exercise-resistant fat cells. They are people who want to take away unwanted fats through exercise but are not successful.”

He said that “it is a misconception that once you have a liposuction it is for life. You can easily gain those fats back if you don’t have the proper lifestyle. Diet modification is necessary to maintain the shape you want.”

New Life Aesthetic Surgery Center head surgeon Dr. James Joaquino said, “We are here to jump start your life. We point more to healthy living. Liposuction and liposculpture are never the excuse not to exercise. Liposuction and liposculpture are only for those who are already into exercise. What we remove is permanent removal. If you eat a lot, the fat deposits will go somewhere else. You will still gain weight but not in the areas that we removed. Liposuction is for shaping and not treatment.”

Joaquino also said that New Life is the first in Cebu to use the Erchonia laser technology. He said that while scars in liposuction surgery are minimal, the Erchnoia Laser assist liposuction produces smoother results, ease of fat extraction and reduces post liposuction pain by as much as 80 percent.

In any case, the best post surgery care and maintenance for those who go through liposculpture procedures are exercise and diet modification.

No human is born with a perfect body. If you lead a gluttonous lifestyle of indulging in anything you want like eating fatty food, junk food and other food that have nothing to do with nutrition, you deliberately disfigure and worsen the shape of your imperfect body. Being lazy is another way of destroying the shape of your body. Exercise-resistant fat deposits don’t necessarily come with age. It comes with leading a slothful lifestyle.

Don’t let laziness and indulgence imprison you to an ugly body for life. Free yourself of bulges. Get to your feet and get that metabolism going and while doing so keep to nutrition-based food. Re-sculpting the body through slimming treatments and liposculpture procedures only provide external assistance. The key and most vital component to losing weight and staying in perfect shape is right inside you.
