The Beautiful Habits

- Nym Wales Juezan -

You can help reduce the effects of aging by following this simple advice: Take care of yourself. Habits that keep your body functioning at its best are the same things that promote an attractive, alert face, and an active, confident bearing. Here are some ideas to keep yourself healthy and beautiful.

Eat a healthful diet. For optimum health and appearance, strike a healthy balance by eating meals rich in grains, vegetables and fruit, with small servings of chicken, fish and lean meat. Be sure to drink plenty of water everyday. Good hydration helps keep the skin taut and elastic, reduces bloating and helps keep your mouth and breath fresh.

Exercise regularly. Good cardiovascular conditioning also improves blood glow that tones your skin for a healthy glow. Do some kind of moderate physical activity for 30 minutes, three to four days a week. Include anaerobic strength training and aerobic activities, such as walking, daily stretches to maintain flexibility.

Get a good night’s sleep. Give your body the rest it needs to restore itself. You’ll feel refreshed, you’ll look better, you’ll have more spring in your step and your day will be filled with vitality.

Avoid toxins. Harmful substances take their toll on your appearance and your health. Smokers, for instance, are more likely to have dry, wrinkled skin than nonsmokers.

Get in touch with your spiritual side. Prayer or meditation is a key element for good appearance.

Manage stress. Stress is not attractive. If you can learn to calm yourself, you will look and feel healthier and happier. If you are positive about yourself and others, you will automatically present a more attractive face to the world.
