The Cebu City Marriott Hotel was the setting of the civil wedding of Ronnie Columna and Ruby Royo. Judge Veronico Sardoncillo officiated the ceremony. Ronnie’s mother, Mrs. Victoria Columna, Ruby’s brother Emigdio Royo Jr. and sister Glenna Royo Parilla attended the memorable event.

A dinner reception was held at the Grand Ballroom of the hotel after the ceremony. After their honeymoon in Cebu, Ronnie and Ruby flew to Saudi Arabia where they plan to settle down.

Meanwhile, Raul Arcenas from Cebu and Johanna Klinge of Helsinki were married in a civil ceremony at the City of Helsinki Magistrate office last April 10. The marriage was witnessed by Raul’s daughter Ariana Arcenas, Minna Asiana, Maija Parikka (Johanna’s mother) and Reijo Vilen, Johanna’s stepfather.
The couple met in Kabul, Afghanistan where Johanna was a Relief and Development Officer for the United Nations Assistance Mission and Raul was manager for Finance and Administration for the Microfinance Investment Facility of Afghanistan (MISFA). Raul, by the way, is the son of Chit Arcenas and the late Dr. Ramon Arcenas of Cebu City.
