Universal Records finally releases Kamikazee’s much anticipated third album titled Long Time Noisy featuring the launching single Wala. This new album is their follow-up to their Double Platinum breakthrough album Maharot.
Kamikazee was formed by five friends who met in the College of Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines- Diliman: Jay Contreras (lead vocals), Jomal Linao (guitar), Led Zeppelin Tuyay (guitar), Jason “Puto” Astete (bass) and Allan “Bords” Burdeos (drums).
It took the famed band three years before they were able to make a new album. According to the band members, they were so overwhelmed with the success of their last album. They got numerous offers to do several gigs, which took most of their time and prevented them from sitting down to compose new songs and finally doing the recording.
But Kamikazee is back in the groove with their brand new album under Universal Records, after being able to balance their grueling gig schedules and their serious desire to release the best album they can possibly come up with. Long Tine Noisy is said to be the band’s best and most consistent album. They continue their brand of heavy rock that’s dosed with pop sensibilities and witty lyrical ideas.
Kamikazee made up for their long absence on the recording scene by coming up with 20 cuts in their Long Time Noisy album.
