Lorna on spending Valentine's without Rudy

Plus: “When I Met U” better film than “For The First Time”

Lorna Tolentino signed a contract with ABS-CBN last year for a TV series. She said that they would probably start taping the teleserye by March but she doesn’t know who’s going to be her director as there’s no final decision yet from Star Cinema regarding the matter.

According to Lorna, some revisions will have to be made on the script after ABS-CBN president Ms. Charo Santos-Concio offered some suggestions to improve it some more.

“Gusto muna nila na maayos ang script bago kami magsimula ng taping,” said LT when interviewed by the writers who attended the 26th Luna Awards that was held at the Mandarin Oriental Suites of the Gateway Mall. “Ayoko naman na magsimula kami ng taping na hindi pa ayos ang lahat tapos baka hindi naman maging maganda ang resulta.”

“Mas mabuti na ‘yung plantsado na ang lahat saka kami mag-start ng work kaysa naman magpaulit-ulit lang kami ng trabaho kung hindi magustuhan ng management ang kinalabasan ng taping namin,” she added.

She said it’s not true that she doesn’t want to go back to work, contrary to the statement of her manager Lolit Solis. “I am just waiting for them to finish the script. Sa ngayon, ‘yung pagpapatayo ng mausoleum muna ang aasikasuhin ko. Hindi pa ito masimulan kasi may mga gamit pang hinihintay na manggaling pa yata sa abroad. Inorder pa nila ‘yung granite na gagamitin. I think imported yata iyon. Basta ang gumagawa naman ng mausoleum ay taga-Heritage din,” Lorna explained.

This is the first time that she’s celebrating Valentine’s Day without Daboy by her side. How does she intend to spend the day of hearts? “Siguro kasama ko ang mga anak ko at most probably pupunta kami roon sa Heritage Park,” said LT.

The Cinema Evaluation Board or CEB gave the Richard Gutierrez-KC Concepcion romantic-comedy film “When I Met You” a B Rating.

The film had a very successful premiere night held at the SM Megamall Cinemas 9 and 10 last Tuesday that was attended by the cast and director Joel Lamangan. It also had a successful opening day. According to sources, it earned more than P10 million when it opened last Wednesday.

The producers, Annette Gozon-Abrogar of GMA Films and Lily Monteverde of Regal Entertainment are both happy with the outcome of the second team-up of KC and Richard. Even KC’s manager, Shirley Kuan who also attended the premiere was very vocal in saying that she’s very happy with the movie that was directed by Joel Lamangan.

According to her, she was able to watch the film together with Direk Joel on its final editing night and she was so pleased, she couldn’t help but embrace Direk Joel and thanked him for a job well done.

We were at the premiere last Tuesday and we witnessed how the fans love the film. The movie has more kilig moments and is a better film compared to “For The First Time”—no offense meant to Direk Joyce Bernal who directed the initial team-up of KC and Richard.

We enjoyed the film and we are sure the fans of Richard and KC enjoyed it too.
