CEBU, Philippines - Maximum Impact, a company that specializes on learning events, will hold a five-hour financial breakthrough seminar in Cebu to reinforce the growing trend of promoting financial literacy among Filipinos.
In cooperation with OMF Literature, Maximum Impact chief executive officer Adrian Ding will be bringing the country’s well-known entrepreneur and book author Ardy Roberto to teach people across segments to get into “financial freedom” no matter what situations they are in now.
Ding said the event targets to attract stakeholders from the academe—professors, couples, even call center agents, in order to learn sound strategies in financial management.
Aside from conventional, mutual funds, stock market, time deposits, and other investment channels that are widely known as effective tools to achieve financial freedom, Roberto will also share the “seven [proven] secrets” to financial freedom, such as wealth creation, getting out of debt, and financial stewardship.
While record shows that about 95 percent of Filipinos do not maintain savings, it is high time that the experts in financial management, who will incorporate the basic teachings from the Bible, will introduce financial literacy to the majority of Filipinos.
Even schools now do not teach effective “financial literacy”, said Ding adding that the young people, especially those that earn good salaries do not have any idea how to put their money into good use.
Roberto who also authors several books on “financial literacy” owing to his experience in enterpreneurship, investments, as well as goodwill stewardship, will expound the proven seven secrets in achieving financial management.
While, some financial literacy seminars intimidates the mainstream market, because it largely promotes mutual funds and other sophisticated investment channels, Roberto on the other hand, will share strategies on how a person could manage a limited income resource and staying away from debt.
As the Philippine education system does not teach “financial 101” to students, Ding said this is the opportunity for school professors to learn and share their knowledge in financial breakthrough to their students—even at an early age.
Financial wellness is what most Filipinos need these days. Ding siad this can be achieved if people will open up their minds break-off the culture of unwise spending of Filipinos, and embrace the culture for savings and investment. (FREEMAN)
