The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) together with its partners, German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and the Mactan Export Processing Zone Chamber of Exporters and Manufacturers (MEPZCEM), is holding the first energy Management Conference for Economic Zones on November 13 – 14, 2008 at the Waterfront Hotel Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Invited are companies located in economic zones all over the country, including I.T. Parks.

The conference will feature lectures on energy management by international and national energy efficiency experts, presentation of best practices by energy efficient companies, exhibits of energy saving devices and service providers, and recognition of companies with outstanding achievements in energy management.

This event comes at an opportune time as local companies, burdened by increasing energy prices, struggle to stay competitive in the local and world market. The Conference is one way PEZA would like to help its locators deal with the issue on high energy cost, at the same time contribute to the country’s efforts in addressing climate change.
