Panasonic launches 2 new camera handsets

Panasonic Mobile Communications Co. Ltd. has introduced two new cutting-edge, high-definition camera phones – the VS6 and VS7.

With the VS6’s super slim clamshell design, the 2.0-megapixel camera phone boasts fine-quality photographs and movies. It is supported by a high-definition 2.2-inch QVGA screen with an outstanding brightness of 300 candela/m2 – which means that it is up to 50 percent brighter than other handsets in the market and offers images that seem to leap out to life.

The 16 million colors on its screen bring up the VS6 as having one of the most technically advanced screen technologies in the market today.

The built-in 2.0-megapixel, 5x digital zoom camera comes with a 15-frame continuous shooting function, which is perfect for snapshots taken in quick succession. The camera also allows the user to take close-up shots of subjects with crisp, sharp images.

The VS6 has a 32MB of built-in memory for storing the photos. In addition to the impressive camera function, the handset has video capability, allowing users to capture and play back video footage with sound.

The VS6 comes with Bluetooth wireless technology, enabling users to share images and video clips effortlessly and also enjoy wire-free connectivity when using a Bluetooth hands-free headset.

The VS6 also comes with messaging illumination, an enjoyable and interactive way to receive text messages. This feature triggers the phone to flash different colors and patterns according to the corresponding emoticons in the text messages. If the SMS message contains a smiley face, for example, the phone will flash a warm red.

The VS6 just weighs 101g and is only 21-mm thin. The "one push, auto open" function provides quick and easy access to all of its functions.

Users can enjoy real music ringtones as well as interactive gaming with 3D games and Java is supported for users to download more.

The VS6 is a GPRS tri-band phone that can support up to eight hours of talk time or a standby time of up to 430 hours. It is available in sleek black.

The latest star to shine among Panasonic’s state-of-the-art mobile phones, of course, is the VS7.

An upgraded version of the VS6, the VS7 has the brightest and clearest screen to date with its high-performance large 2.5-inch color TFT screen.

It features a 240 x 320 pixels QVGA resolution enhanced to approximately 16 million colors and brightness that goes as high as high as 300 candela/m2.

Capture portraits or your favorite moments through its digital two-megapixel camera with video recording and be impressed by its screen, which shows images that always look remarkably true to life. Users can also view the clear screen in almost all kinds of lighting situations.

Even better, the VS7 is MP3-capable so users can download ringtones using this feature.

Like the VS6, it is equipped with the same impressive 2.0-megapixel resolution. Its backlight compensation ensures that every image captured and shown on screen is very clear. With the 5x zoom function, just zoom in to wonderfully capture every detail.

The VS7 features Bluetooth connectivity as well. It comes equipped with high-speed GPRS that connects to the Internet with ease.

Other interesting features include its clamshell design, external color screen, and changeable faceplates.

The front LCD shows incoming or missed calls, even SMS. Read new text messages without flipping the phone to open by simply pressing the scroll button.
