Convergys named Employer of the Year

-

MANILA, Philippines - Convergys Corp., a global leader in customer management and the largest private employer in the Philippines, received top honors as “BPO Employer of the Year” at the 2012 International ICT Awards in Manila.

This is the third time Convergys has been named as the country’s top BPO (business process outsourcing) employer since the launch of the awards ceremony in 2007.

The judging committee — comprised of a diverse group of independent and knowledgeable individuals with extensive experience in the industry — chose to recognize Convergys because of its leadership, strategic HR practices, continuous improvement programs, corporate social responsibility efforts, and overall support for the industry.

“Convergys is dedicated to providing unparalleled service to our clients and their customers across the globe,” said Ivic Mueco, Convergys vice president and country manager in the Philippines.

“The hard work and dedication of our employees in the Philippines continues to support our growth and our goal of being the employer of choice throughout the country,” Mueco added.

Within eight years, Convergys has established 18 contact center facilities in the Philippines, and has about 26,000 employees throughout these sites.

Organized annually by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, the ICT Awards “promote the work and achievements of companies, individuals, and the overall industry to the Philippine and international business community.”
