Interactive marketing gurus to speak in gab

The event will also discuss market behavior and the best international practices on Internet marketing and mobile advertising, according to the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP), the industry’s premier marketing group and the summit organizer.
IMMAP president and Yehey.com chief executive officer Donald Patrick Lim said the experts would also unveil new approaches and techniques in digital advertising, including marketing opportunities in the booming online gaming.
“There are just too many things that industry players from various sectors can learn from the summit,” Lim said.
Slated at the Hotel InterContinental, Makati City on Aug. 9-10, the first Internet and Mobile Marketing Summit brings international movers Yahoo!, Havas Media Asia-Pacific, Google, Euro, Dentsu, Proximity Worldwide and Isobar together with local industry leaders Global Wireless Connections, Yehey, IPVG, Globe Telecom, and Smart Communications, among others, in the two-day event.
With “Global Trends for an Interactive Philippines” as the theme, the summit features other topics such as using digital channels to connect with prosumers, Filipino attitudes and behavior toward Internet and mobile advertising, building brands through Internet and mobile marketing, blogs and podcasts as interactive tools, successfully integrating Internet and mobile with traditional media channels, and global trends in digital media planning and execution, among others.
According to IMMAP vice president and Global Wireless Connections president Arthur Policarpio, the summit will include panel discussions with keynote international speakers such as chief executive officer Mohan Vishnu of Havas Media Asia-Pacific, CEO Simon Bond of Proximity Worldwide, managing director Carol Ann Sarthou of Synovate, managing director Tom Sipple of Yahoo! Southeast Asia, chief consultant Yota Mitsunobu of Dentsu’s interactive communications division, chief technology officer Bob Maher of Isobar, country consultant Aileen Apollo of Google Philippines, and CEO Enrique Gonzales of IPVG, among many others.
The summit includes an exhibit of the latest products, services and technologies in Internet, mobile and related industries.
The summit will also host the launching of the first and only interactive “Boomerang Awards” that give recognition to the most creative and innovative Internet and mobile campaigns in the country.
