The S4500, S800, S600, S450 and S400 color bubble jet printers were originally launched in Bangkok last March 14 during a three-day "True Nature" Press Tour, which was participated in by around 70 journalists from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, the Philippines and of course, Thailand.
The new Canon line-up offers a broad product selection designed to meet the diverse needs of a wide user base, including four models that achieve the highest level of photo quality and realize even greater functionality.
The S800 delivers exceptionally high-resolution, high-precision 2,400 x 1,200 dot-per-inch output and realizes remarkably smooth color gradation.
Canon’s newly developed high-intensity color inks guarantee vivid color performance on any type of paper. The model also keeps in tune with the times as its Photo Optimizer PRO combines the Photo Optimizer and Auto Tone Control functions, ensuring the best results for printing out image data captured with digital cameras.
The S800’s bi-directional printing and improved operating frequency, meanwhile, do wonders where printing speed is concerned. The printer realizes speeds approximately 1.5 times faster than its immediate predecessor.
An optional IS-52 scanner cartridge delivers maximum convenience to the user as it offers a maximum optical resolution of 600 dpi when used as an image scanner.
Further contributing to the enjoyment of photo-quality printing is the introduction of the new Professional Photo Card paper. Based on Canon’s Professional Photo Paper, the new print media include perforations that permit users to create borderless photo prints.
The customized print utility software that ships with the printer automatically modifies image data to the proper photo size to facilitate the photo-print process. The S800’s suggested retail price is P20,800.
It also provides the highest level of image quality. It features the Precision Color Distribution system which eliminates color inconsistencies and pattern overlap, problems prevalent in conventional ink jet printers.
Its high-precision printhead delivers a maximum print resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi, resulting in outstanding photo-quality prints.
The S600’s speed (up to 15 pages per minute of monochrome A4 documents) is realized through the combination of the printer’s 1,088-nozzle printhead, a newly designed paper pick-up and delivery system and the Four Motor System, which incorporates an independent motor for each of the unit’s recovery, carriage, auto sheet feeder and paper advance systems. The S600 retails at P13,800.
High-intensity color inks and improved high-density, black pigment ink ensure outstanding image quality whether printing in black and white or color.
The models feature a two-tone body design combining Cool White and Fresh Gray to provide balance with interior decors as well as the ever-changing colorations of PCs.
The S450 and S400 also realize low power consumption of approximately 2W when in standby mode. The S450’s suggested retail price is P12,700; the S400’s, P8,200; and the S4500’s, P23,000.
