PATA summit tackles climate change and tourism

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Climate change adaptation and tourism will take center stage in the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) New Tourism Frontiers Forum 2015 set on Nov. 25-27 in Legazpi City, Albay.

With the theme “Ecotourism: Transcending Climate Change,” the three-day event brings together professionals to share their insights and experiences in marketing and managing tourism growth to lesser-known destinations for sustainable growth and development of travel and tourism.

The event stems from the need to help secondary and tertiary areas grow and develop into widely recognized, bucket-listed getaways.

Formerly known as the PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference, the rebranded forum includes a technical tour and a Tourism Marketing Treasure Hunt, a first of its kind in the annual meet.
