Dell upbeat on Channel Program

MANILA, Philippines - Dell has credited its modest growth to its Channel Partner Program.

In an interview, managing director Tian Beng Ng said the Dell Channel program now represents about 40 percent of their overall business globally and is still growing.

“In Asia, it’s actually more, it’s close to about 50 percent of our business, here in the ASEAN region, it’s three-quarters of our business. And overall, last year, we grew very well, we grew double digit globally in our Channel business,” Tian said.

Dell also announced that itsaw double digit growth in its channel partner business in 10 of its 11 biggest markets, working with major distributors.

”We have accelerated it. Working with the Channel in the last  few years, our channel mix has grown,” he said, adding that the Dell Engineer’s Club is also doing well.

This year, Dell has allocated $125 million for new incentives and programs for the Dell Channel Program.
