Pharex gives a treat at home for the aged

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Over 70 grandmothers residing at the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly were recently treated to an afternoon of world-class singing, fun, food and games when Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales visited the home for the aged.

At the event, Corrales serenaded the residents with her classic staples like “Kapantay ay Langit” and “Dahil Sa ‘Yo” and joined them in fun games and sing-along sessions.

“I’m thankful to have partnered with Pharex, a brand known for giving Filipinos access to high-quality medicine, for this activity that also lets me reach out to the elderly,” she said.

Pharex HealthCorp president and CEO Tomas Marcelo Agana III said the event was in line with the company’s 25th anniversary celebration, and with its mission to improve Filipinos’ access to healthcare. Pharex is the country’s top uni-branded generic medicine.

“At Pharex, we take pride in pioneering unibranded generic medicine, so that even the poor and disadvantaged can ensure their well-being. We are happy to continue that tradition, and hope that our contribution will help promote the health of our beloved lolas at the shelter,” said Agana at the turnover ceremony.

Corrales and Pharex brought with them good news that came in boxes of free maintenance medicine for the ailing grabdmas of the shelter. The generous donation was received by Mother Superior Ma. Celia Fociños.

Also present at the event were Pharex sales and marketing vice president Timmie Guillermo and corporate equity manager Abe Sia.
