New clinic at St. Luke’s Global City dedicated to occupational health, safety

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City opens a new multidisciplinary clinic called the Comprehensive Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Services (COHESS) dedicated to promoting occupational health, wellness, and safety in the workplace.

COHESS aims to build a health-promoting workplace through the timely detection and treatment of work-related disease, active prevention of illness through educational lectures, and vigilant elimination of potential risks in the work place such as physical, chemical, and biologic hazards.

“We feel that a healthy workplace will translate to increased workforce productivity and then profitable business” says head Dr. Lonabel Encarnacion, an occupational dermatologist.

Staffed by occupational physicians specializing in dermatology, toxicology, psychiatry, pulmonology, cardiology, and other specialists, the newly opened clinic provides various medical services to employees of companies.

The facility offers check-up and diagnosis services, physical exams, laboratory procedures, minor surgical procedures, referral to medical specialists when needed, hospital admission and discharge assistance, and rehabilitation of injured workers, among others.

For inquiries, visit COHESS, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Room 1038, Medical Arts building, St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City, Bonifacio Global City or call (632) 789-7700 ext. 7038.
