-
Two American specialists in the field of pediatric radiology have been invited to speak during the first combined postgraduate course of St. Luke’s Medical Center’s Institute of Radiology and Department of Pediatrics in cooperation with the St. Luke’s College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial on March 3 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila in Quezon City.

Invited to speak during the one-day postgraduate course entitled "A Clinical Approach to Pediatric Medical Imaging," are Dr. Marilyn Siegel, professor of radiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri; and Dr. Elizabeth Ey, medical director of medical imaging of the Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.

During the postgraduate course, she is assigned to talk about "Imaging the Child with Acute Abdominal Pain," "Congenital Lung Abnormalities" and a special focus session on "Advances in Congenital Heart Disease Imaging."

Ey, on the other hand, specializes in diagnostic and pediatric radiology.

In addition to being the medical director of the Department of Radiology of the Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, Ey is also an assistant clinical professor at the Wright State University School of Medicine, also in Dayton, Ohio.

She has penned numerous presentations, book reviews, publications and scientific exhibits.

She is tasked the topics on "Role of Imaging in Genito-urinary Infections" and "Musculoskeletal Infections in Children."

A long list of impressive local speakers from the fields or radiology, pediatrics and pediatric sub-specialties are also scheduled to speak during the one-day postgraduate course.
