St. Lukes postgrad course on ultrasound, OB-GYN set

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of St. Lukes Medical Center will be holding its 9th postgraduate course with the theme "Emerging Issues in OB-GYN and Ultrasound in Clinical Practice" on July 20-21, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
One of the objectives of the postgraduate course is to update participants on the current trends in the use of the ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology.
Among the topics to be discussed during the two-day event include Fetal Congenital Anomaly Scan: Expectations and Limitations, which will be discussed by Dr. Ma. Luisa Acu; Biophysical Profile Scoring A Guide to Clinical Management by Dr. Ernesto Uichanco; Oligohydramnios: Its Clinical Implications by Dr. Pilar Lagman-Dy; Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations by Dr. Raquel del Rosario-Fortun; Ultrasound Parameters That Predict Success in Infertility Treatment by Dr. Trinidad Vera; and Issue in Male Infertility by Drs. Delfin Tan and Dr. German Albano.
There will be live demonstrations and interactive sessions involving the participants during the two-day course. These are Saline Infusion Sono Hysterogram (SISH) Endometrial Pathology Assessment, Sassone Scoring of Ovarian Masses, Doppler Studies in Ovarian Pathology, Uterine Pathology, 3D/4D How to do it Fetal Syndromes, and 3D/4D Congenital Uterine Anomalies.
