Get rid of flies with fly control granules

What insect caused the fall of Ancient Greece, the destruction of the Roman Empire, and the decline of other civilizations? Believe it or not, all that was accomplished by the fly, an insect that many people hate.

It’s easy to understand why we loathe such a lowly insect. The fly is a harbinger of death because of the many diseases it brings. It brought plagues that wiped out entire populations during the Middle Ages, and even now this insect continues to terrorize us by spreading cholera, typhus, salmonella, the eggs of tapeworms and roundworms, and other diseases, especially in areas where sanitation is poor.

To get rid of filthy, disease-carrying flies, Bayer Environmental Science, the maker of Quick Bayt, an effective fly control granule, recommends good sanitation practices such as regular cleaning of surroundings, garbage collection, covering of garbage cans, etc.

Without organic wastes to breed in, fly population can drastically be reduced. One kilogram of organic waste can give rise to up to 10,000 flies.

Quick Bayt is a brightly colored, sugar-based insecticide with two attractants that are irresistible to flies. Its active ingredient — Imidacloprid — quickly knocks down flies. It also contains Bitrex, a bittering agent to prevent accidental human ingestion.

Quick Bayt can be used in two easy ways. The granules can be scattered in dry surfaces like pathways or in open stations and trays.

Alternatively, it can be mixed with water and painted in small spots such as walls, window ledges and other areas where flies abound. Care must be taken not to paint on walls or areas where staining is not tolerable. Re-apply when the bait has been totally consumed.
