NGO promotes delivery of quality health care

-
ARCI Cultura a Sviluppo-Southeast Asia, a Philippine-based children’s rights advocacy group establishing Integrated Preventive Maintenance System (IPMS) in public hospitals, shares another collaborative work with medical experts and suppliers in providing the public a comprehensive expertise on medical equipment management at a two-day conference starting tomorrow at the Meralco Development Center in Antipolo City.

Featuring top health care technology creators, the conference is ideal for anyone wanting to expand their knowledge and understanding of effective medical equipment management.

Cited as another milestone in the pursuit of excellence in health care delivery, IPMS is a system that empowers hospital engineers and technicians with the skills and technology necessary to master maximization and prolong the life of biomedical equipment.

Established in January 2000 with the upgrading of the Philippine General Hospital, IPMS aims to improve the operational efficiency of public hospitals in the Philippines in relation to medical equipment management.

PGH becomes the first public hospital to benefit from using the IPMS program. Dedicated to quality health services, PGH satisfies its vital need for preventive and corrective maintenance of its equipment and facilities with the use of IPMS as a comprehensive strategy.

IPMS inspires the different hospital stakeholders to improve not only the output but also everything else – reduced downtime of equipment, savings generated by increased reliance on the strength of in-house experts, and better control of upgraded medical equipment.

Dedicated to extending valuable support to improve health care delivery in developing countries, ARCS-SEA continues to open its network not only in the Philippines but in other developing countries as well.

Apart from PGH, it is currently maintaining relationships with the Lung Center of the Philippines, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo and Ospital ng Sampaloc.

Consistent with its mission of promoting rights of children, pediatric patients are the first to benefit from the establishment of IPMS in ARCS-SEA’s public hospital partners.
