Pasig government undertakes road project on Sandoval Avenue

Infrastructure development is one of the key initiatives of the city government of Pasig to keep pace with the rapid growth in population, vehicular traffic and business activities.
Pasig has witnessed the emergence of leading business establishments, subdivisions and schools that has made it one of the most progressive cities in the country. Among the viable projects being directly implemented by Pasig City are the upgrading of roads and construction of drainage system within the Barangay Pinagbuhatan area.
According to the city engineer‘s office, the project involves elevating portions of Sandoval and Mercedes Avenues to ensure these will be all-weather roads. These connecting avenues will be elevated by an average of 16 inches to level with the highest road grade fronting Republic Asahi.
The site being one of the major developing areas in Pasig is expected to further increase its business activities as it becomes more accessible and convenient Brgy. Pinagbuhatan is strategically located within minutes from the Ortigas, Cubao and Makati CBD’s.
The Department of Public and Highways (DPWH) and the Pasig city government are spearheading the project in connection with the national plan to implement flood control and road upgrading projects in Metro Manila. A three-year timetable has been set for the said project.
