Camaya Coast continues going green

MANILA, Philippines - The desire to preserve the natural environment has always been foremost in the goals of the developers and builders behind Camaya Coast, an innovative resort-cum-residential development in Mariveles, Bataan. The resolute standpoint to keep Camaya Coast and its environs as pristine as possible is made manifest in the design scheme and building principles employed in creating the structures within the community. Motivation enough for the builders of Camaya Coast to use the revolutionary system called Plasform Panel in its buildings’ formwork. To further enhance the resort’s environmental campaign, the engineers recently announced the completion of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and the ongoing construction of the Silt Trap.

What makes Plasform Panel so green is that it totally eliminates the use of timber and plywood in the construction of any structure’s formwork, thus, saving trees from extinction. Imported from Plastech Industrial Systems Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this virtually do-it-yourself formwork is lightweight and easy to handle. Its smooth and superior quality eliminates the cost for plastering and makes it re-usable many times over.

The Sewage Treatment Plant is another one of Camaya Coast’s major features that will assure residents and the people living in the communities near the area, of a clean and safe environment one that nurtures the continued balance of nature’s precious elements. Once the plant has passed the required standards, it will already be fully operational before the year ends.

Likewise, the purpose of the silt trap is to capture excess soil, which may be a result of a rainstorm or extra water from the construction site and block the contaminants from being discharged into the sea.

Thus, the beauty and solid strength of all residential and leisure structures in the development project have been created with little impact on the environment — making Camaya Coast truly eco-friendly.
