Something new at Montecito

MANILA, Philippines - Living in Metro Manila it can be hard to imagine a place where a person could stop and look up at a clear blue sky and take a breath of fresh, clean air. Skyscrapers and traffic have become so much a part of everyday life that it’s easy to believe that everywhere else is just the same.

But tranquility is not far off, because beyond the skyscrapers of Metro Manila is Montecito — an exclusive community where the world seems to slow down to a friendly, easy-going pace.

Montecito rises out of the rolling hills of Nuvali in Canlubang, Laguna. It has a modest area of 60 hectares — keeping it quiet and exclusive and where homes are situated among lush, landscaped parks and wide greenways.

Montecito sits at the heart of Nuvali, the 1,700-hectare urban center master planned on a model of sustainable living. Nuvali is regarded as the first real eco-community in the Philippines. It is a city of the future, where its planning and operations are centered on the principles of economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Though only about 30 to 40 minutes by car from the Alabang commercial district, life at Montecito feels a world away from the metropolis. Magnificent nature embraces the community as far as the eyes can see. In place of concrete and asphalt are the sights of Laguna de Bay and surrounding mountain ridges.

Developed jointly by Ayala Land Premier and Montecito Properties, Inc., Montecito is Ayala Land’s lowest density development since Forbes Park. Divided into four areas and designed with less than five residential lots per hectare of land, Montecito affords every home the luxury of freedom and space.

“The first two tranches sold out in a matter of months despite the challenging conditions this year,” says Jose Juan Z. Jugo, head of the Land & Houses group of Ayala Land Premier.

“Ayala Land Premier has received many inquiries since then and we are aware of the demand for Montecito properties so this final phase of the project was fast-tracked unexpectedly.”

Now, Ayala Land Premier launches the most charming quarter yet of Montecito, because this time, the newest phase of the development has been further enhanced and redesigned to offer the most enjoyment in Montecito living.

“We developed the greenways in front of the lots rather than at the back unlike in earlier tranches,” Jugo says.
