South Waters Marina Club and Farm is an exclusive eco-environmental country club destination where all family members can find something to do there that they are passionate about. "It is a BUY now, USE now club. Since the South Water facilities are already complete and fully operational, buyers can immediately use its membership. They do not have to wait three to five years tos enjoy it," pointed out by OPMC President Eduardo Tirona.
It is a unique ecological and environmental friendly club that operates its own aqua culture farm and vegetable gardens where a variety of freshly catch aqua culture products such as oysters, crabs, prawns, shrimps, lapu-lapu, and milk fish and freshly grown vegetables are food served in its restaurants. All its produce is a major source of the clubs income.
The aqua culture farms excess products are sold at the nearby Dalahican fish ports, which is about a cove and a half away from the Club. Buyers who supply most of the major hotels and restaurants in Metro Manila buy most of the Clubs production on the spot. Income from farm production goes back to the Club and is being used for maintenance and operations.
"South Waters is a business model that provides a direct positive impact on national concerns, specifically that of food productivity," said South Waters president Jose T. L. Morato. "In the Philippines where agriculture and in our case, aqua culture, is a main indicator of national growth and where the land is available for it, the South Waters concept should be a model for entrepreneurs to replicate, especially in the leisure industry, to optimize the use of their lands."
Morato stressed South Waters vision of incorporating homegrown food production into a proprietary leisure country club concept. "This concept is not only unique but also offers great value to the success of this business venture. All leisure clubs should get something from this concept to make their lands more productive, food more freshly served, and guests happier and healthier."
South Waters was incorporated on September 1996. Morato constructed, developed and put up all improvements and facilities of the Club like the club house, the convention hall, family Cabañas, row suites, swimming pool, tennis court, and Gazebo, first before offering membership shares to the public.
