Honda revs up its motorbike series with the introduction of the new Honda Wave 125S. The Wave125S boasts of a powerful and efficient 125cc engine, which assures high performance in both low and high speeds, making it suitable for both city and long distance driving. It also has the highest power among motorcycles in the 4-stroke family. Its quick acceleration allows the Wave to cover 200 meters in only 13 seconds. Its revolutionary engine features new designs like the roller rocker arm, the offset crank mechanism, and the twin ignition control system (TICS)
The Honda Wave 125S holds the distinction of being the first motorcycle to use a rocker arm similar to the ones currently being used in automobiles. The rocker arm greatly reduces the frictional force between the roller bearing and camshaft. The offset crank mechanism was crafted to make the connecting rod move vertically after ignition, which produces no frictional force between the piston and the cylinder. The TICS, on the other hand, is made up of a carburetor sensor that sets an ignition degree that is proportional to engine speed to assure perfect combustion of fuel and air. All these translate to less stress on the engine and results in less power usage and ultimately less fuel consumption.
Despite its added power, the Waves 125cc engine maintains a very environment-friendly makeup. It has a secondary air supply system that releases filtered air in the exhaust pipe, hence cleaner emission and less pollution. It also prides itself of having passed the rigid emission control E/M5 test for environment-friendliness.
For people who look for convenience, the new Wave 125S provides a bigger utility box or U-Box for more storage space a first in family-type motorbikes. Its durable maintenance-free battery no longer needs to be filled with distilled water making motorcycle rides hassle-free. Bigger rear shock absorbers provide better suspension for various road conditions. And a rotary 4-gear, an exclusive Honda feature, also provides comfort riding because it eliminates the need for up and down shifting.
The new Wave 125S is also designed with a totally new look with a touch of modernity, with the purpose of combining attractiveness with safety. Such is found in the motorcycles features such as the multi-reflector headlight, built-in taillight, and the new 3-D leg shield for relax and easy handling. A digital speedometer is also added for more precise readings.
Another new feature of the Honda Wave 125S is its fewer oil changes, which only come every 8,000 kms. In addition to that, Honda also offers a three-year or 30,000-km guarantee on both engine and frame.
The Honda Wave 125S guarantees easy riding for both men and women of all ages because of its bigger dual shock, perfect suspension and silent chain. It gives optimum comfort and safety for both the rider and pillion rider with the new cushion seat which comes with a one-piece rear grip.
