A remarkable group of women

District 381 of the Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. (IWCPI) held its induction and turnover ceremony at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila in Pasay City. Senator Cynthia Villar inducted Beth Tagle as the new District 381 chairman, who is occupying the said post for a second time. It was followed by the induction of presidents of the seven district clubs. District 381 is an organization of women that advo- cates for education, health and livelihood projects as well as Operation Paglingap, which is a quick response for the distribu- tion of relief goods to victims of calamities. Its ongoing yearly projects include a schol- arship program for indigent students at Don Bosco Vocational School in Tondo, Manila, and a monthly Breast Cancer Awareness Forum held in several municipalities outside of Manila. District 381 also recently inked a memorandum of agreement with the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. for expanded joint projects.
