Women go forward

The most influential Filipino women were recently honored at the highly-successful Women Entrepreneurship Summit entitled “Babae, Tagumpay ka ng Bayan!” at the World Trade Center. Led by Philippine Commission on Women and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion, the affair was graced by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. The summit emphasized the importance of micro and small women entrepreneurs who achieved success despite poverty. Among the awardees were Metro Manila Linis Ganda head Leonarda Camacho, singer/entrepreneur Pilita Corrales, ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Regina Paz Lopez and Laguna Resettlement Community School English teacher Maria Cristina Medina. Go Negosyo’s latest book “Tagumpay (Mula sa Kahirapan)” was also launched that day. Congratulations!

Presidio Bellini goes beyond beauty

Signalling the completion of the latest triumph from Crown Asia is the grand blessing and unveiling of the majestic Presidio’s Bellini Tower located at the Lakefront, Sucat, Muntinlupa. The 52-unit and five-storey high building was opened to guests consisting of unit owners who were able to view their own units and prospective buyers who had a sneak peek of what’s in-store for them in Bellini Tower. This magnificent venture from Crown Asia led by chief operating officer Mary Lee Sadiasa, production head engineer Earl Millanes and marketing head Mina Cuison, is the third low-rise mixed-use building in Presidio and has a low density to ensure the comfort and privacy of the unit owners. For inquiries, please call 584-1182 and 837-1400 or visit www.lakefront.com.ph. Congratulations!

Female Power

The Women of Malolos Foundation Inc. (WOMFI) recently paid tribute to the group’s late founding president Fanny Aldaba Lim through an exhibit of Bulacan’s preserved historical sites at the Metropolitan Museum in Roxas Boulevard. A fashion show made the event more glamorous with creations from Rhett Eala, Rajo Laurel, Randy Ortiz and Bulacan couturiers Jun Calalang and Jay Custodio. Cheers!
