Phone numbers are sometimes the easiest to recall but oftentimes, also the easiest to forget. In the competitive food delivery industry, each company battles for recognition and recall.
Research on the learning curve shows that more than half the information received can be lost within five minutes. After an hour, two thirds is lost, and almost 90 percent is lost after a day has passed. This has grown so alarming that companies have turned to psychological studies to reverse the pattern.
Partnering with telecom giant PLDT to give the country its first one-digit delivery number: 7-7-7-7-7, Shakeys has made life easier for its delivery guests only five numbers to remember, and its all the same digit! Unlike other delivery numbers, the 77777 number works with mobile telephones, too. Shakeys is the first company in the food industry to come up with the bold delivery order promise with its "if its late, its FREE" campaign, which guarantees guests not just the pizza ordered will be free of charge, but every food product ordered!
Vic Gregorio, Shakeys general manager, believes in constantly enhancing the dining experience. Regarding Shakeys "If its late, its FREE!" delivery promise, he was quoted as saying "we have upgraded our bikes, our delivery service, and our staff. This industry first is our strong commitment to deliver what we promise.
