Dooc named honorary commissioner

MANILA, Philippines - Insurance Commissioner Emmanuel F. Dooc was recently named as the Honorary Insurance Commissioner of the State of Louisiana. Dooc was admitted to the 2015 International Fellows Program organized by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and The Center for Insurance Policy and Research (CIPR), two prestigious organizations based in the United States of America.  NAIC is the national association of all Insurance Commissioners in US from 50 states and six territories while the CIPR is the leading research institute for insurance. The conferment of the honorary title to Dooc is a recognition of his status as an insurance expert and his laudable achievements as the chief insurance regulator of his country. Dooc will undergo a six-week program takes him to four states in US:  Kansas City, Missouri for a one-week training session at NAIC’s central headquarters, followed by a four week training at the Louisiana Department of Insurance, and participation at the NAIC Fall National Meeting in Washington, D.C. There are only two foreign regulators invited in these meetings. The intensive six-week program will conclude at the NAIC’s Capital Markets & Investment Analysis Office in New York City.
