East West Bank resources hit P20B

East West Bank’s first decade is marked by growth and stability, manifested by its growing number of customers enjoying a wide array of innovative products and services.

The bank has P20 billion in total resources, with traditional deposits growing to P14.5 billion. Its total loan portfolio swelled to P11.2 billion for the second quarter of 2004.

East West Bank has 62 personal banking centers (PBCs) and 70 ATMs, all placed in strategic locations nationwide. In the next five years, the bank is expected to bring its branch network to 100.

The signs of convenience are also with the NetAccess online banking facility through the bank’s website: www.eastwestbanker.com. Individuals and corporate customers alike conveniently uses NetAccess to do funds transfer, balance inquiry, and bills payment.

This facility is also the platform for the bank’s superior cash management services, the Corporate Suite. Through Corporate Suite and NetAccess, clients can now do payroll and data uploads, track collections and disbursements – online, real time.

Recently, the bank introduced the e-Disbursement facility that totally does away with cumbersome check preparation and offers the unique SMS and e-mail notifications alerts for payees upon successful crediting of payments.

There is also the portal, www.mylife.com where a customer may discover fresh relationships with other customers of the bank as well as enjoy business opportunities while doing bank transactions. For customer inquiries and feedback, the exclusive 8-ACCESS (822-2377) hotline is available for bank inquiries and service requests.

Another facility that allows for greater convenience is the bank’s mobile banking facility, the MobileAccess, where the customer may transact with the bank using a cellular phone.

Another innovation is the EZ Check Signature Verification System which specimen signatures of clients can be retrieved anytime at the branch level for easy online verification of clients transacting with the Bank. The system has been piloted in selected Metro Manila and Luzon PBCs and is expected to be available at all PBCs by next year.
