SM group grows a million trees

MANILA, Philippines - SM Prime Holdings Inc.’s  Commercial Properties Group is undertaking a  tree-planting project in Tagaytay in line with a bigger project, ‘Grow a Million Trees,’ a collaboration started in  2013 by the SM Food Retail Group (Supermarket, Savemore and Hypermarket) and  the rest of the SM Group of Companies such as the SM Foundation, SM Supermalls, SMDC, BDO and other affiliates. The objective is to grow trees for different communities nationwide, starting with areas protected by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. The project was joined by Miss Earth 2014 Ahliz Henrich and hundreds of volunteers from the SM Group, United Architects of the Philippines, employees from Pagcor Tagaytay, Taal Vista Hotel and SMDC Winds Residences. To date, ‘Grow a Million Trees’ has already planted over 350,000 trees.
