AllCard goes green with ACEN

MANILA, Philippines — Ayala-led ACEN Corp. has enabled end-to-end card solutions provider AllCard Inc. to power its entire operations with 100 percent renewable energy (RE).
The partnership will see ACEN RES, the Ayala Group’s retail electricity supply arm, providing clean power to AllCard through the government’s green energy option program (GEOP).
The energy supply will come from ACEN’s diverse portfolio of solar, wind and geothermal power plants.
“At AllCard, we recognize that our growth must be synonymous with sustainability,” AllCard chief experience and operations officer Aaron dela Paz said.
“Shifting to full renewable energy through ACEN RES is a pivotal step in reducing our carbon footprint while ensuring that our production processes remain resilient and future-ready,” he added.
Through this RE switch, AllCard is projected to displace approximately 631 metric tons of carbon emissions annually.
“This partnership reflects the growing commitment of Philippine businesses to integrate sustainability into their core operations,” said Tony Valdez, ACEN head of market transformation and retail.
“By leveraging the GEOP, we are enabling businesses like AllCard to make more deliberate energy choices that contribute to the country’s broader decarbonization goals,” Valdez added.
GEOP enables end-users with a monthly average consumption of at least 100 kilowatts to choose their preferred RE supplier. The threshold will be reduced to 50 kW after the Department of Energy revised the rules and guidelines governing the implementation.
For the third consecutive year, ACEN emerged as the leading GEOP player in 2025, accounting for about 65 percent of the market.
