Anko to open third, largest store in Philippines
MANILA, Philippines — Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko is continuing its expansion as it is set to open its third and largest store in the country in July.
In a statement, Anko said the third store will be located in Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.
Covering 1,634 square meters, the third Anko store in the Philippines will offer 1,421 sqm of retail space, while the remaining area will be used for its office and stockroom.
The expansion follows Anko’s entry into the country with the opening of its first store in Glorietta 2, Makati City in November last year.
Anko is also set to launch its second branch in Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City, in May this year.
The Philippines is attracting foreign retail brands given its strong economic growth and big market.
Anko Philippines country manager Rachel Turner said the Trinoma store would allow the retailer to bring its home and lifestyle products to more shoppers.
“Opening in Trinoma is a natural next step for Anko in the Philippines.
We want to be where Filipino families already shop for their homes and Metro Manila’s top malls provide the perfect space to introduce more people to our brand,” Anko Global CEO Arjun Puri said.
Anko offers products, ranging from home living essentials and smart storage solutions to beauty must-haves, nursery items, children’s toys, electronics, pet supplies and arts and crafts at affordable prices.
Through its efficient product development process, Anko is able to provide products at consistently low prices.
“By managing the entire process—from design and sourcing to production and retail—we streamline operations and keep costs down. This allows us to offer well-designed, functional products that align with international trends at prices that make sense for our Filipino customers,” Puri said.
Established in 2017, Anko is part of the Kmart Group, which is under Wesfarmers Ltd., one of Australia’s leading companies.
