Memories linger

THOUGHTS TO GUIDE US BY - Elvie Punzalan-Estavillo - The Philippine Star

Every first week of November, we observe All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day to pay homage and honor our beloved departed loved ones. Masses are held, flowers are offered, candles are lighted…and precious-reminiscing moments in silence are spent with them…to say our sincere-loving prayers.

At the end of our beloved’s earthly journey, we take comfort that our departed loved ones could be our angels watching over us – so that when the sunset of sorrow befalls… we can look up to them… as God’s angels to comfort and strengthen us.

When heavy rain pours as we go on our life journey, look for a rainbow, as rainbows appear after heavy downpour. When darkness looms, look for the stars, and when time of dire needs descends, we can pray and ask our angels for help and guidance.

Though no longer with us, our departed loved ones’ thoughts and fond memories shared with us will linger still and echo in our hearts – as we remember their good deeds, kind words, fun, laughter. May the uphill obstacles they successfully hurdled inspire us, and their guiding star lead us to our chosen paths. Grateful for the BEST time shared together.

Peace, good health, safety and abundance to us all!
