SM loyalty program reaches more customers

MANILA, Philippines — The loyalty program of SM continues to reach more customers as it surpasses the 10-million member mark.

SM said SMAC has doubled its customer base from five million in 2020 to over 10 million members to date.

Launched in 2002, SMAC is considered as the country’s biggest retail rewards system.

Through SMAC, SM is focusing on customer-centric innovation to deliver a suite of benefits tailored to enhance convenience, savings and overall satisfaction.

“SMAC is more than just points and exclusive offers. We enable our members to shop smarter. With SMAC, they will have access to information that will equip them to make smarter purchases,” SMAC chief operating officer Kevin Hartigan-Go said.

SM said its loyalty program has been paving the way for smarter shopping in the country.

Through the SMAC app, SM said members could track their spending, easily access their points, which are good as cash and get updates on exclusive discounts and perks.

Committed to provide a smarter and more rewarding shopping experience for its customers, SM said it would continue to undertake enhancements to SMAC.
