MANILA, Philippines — Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI), a subsidiary of property giant Megaworld, is set for continuous growth over the next decade with enough land bank for its future developments.

During the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting yesterday, GERI president Monica Salomon said the company has an expansive land bank in the flourishing centers of Batangas, Cavite and Cagayan de Oro.

She said these are sufficient to sustain the company’s development activities in the next 10 years.

GERI is a developer of master-planned integrated tourism estates.

Its integrated lifestyle communities include Eastland Heights in Antipolo, Rizal; Twin Lakes in Laurel, Batangas; Boracay Newcoast in Boracay Island; The Hamptons Caliraya in Lumban-Cavinti, Laguna; Sta. Barbara Heights in Iloilo and Arden Botanical Estate in Trece Martires-Tanza, Cavite.

Its other developments include Southwoods City in the Laguna-Cavite boundary and Sherwood Hills in Trece Martires, Cavite.

“The company seeks to launch more leisure estates and lifestyle communities integrated with nature with a view of offering spaces designed for joyful and mindful living where people can live in harmony with nature, oneself and the community,” Salomon said.

“We believe in the resilience of the company’s nature plus leisure community model as it addresses the human person’s deepest aspirations,” she said.

To realize its vision for its development model, Salomon said GERI has formed Integrated Resorts Property Management to provide resort-style property management for the company’s destination estates as well as hospitality-inspired customer experience.

“Through Integrated Resorts, the company seeks to facilitate harmonious engagements inside its communities while promoting a culture of stewardship toward the natural environment integrated into its developments for the enjoyment of the present and future generations,” Salomon said.

Last month, GERI said it is investing an initial P5 billion to develop the 150-hectare beachside property called Lialto Beach and Golf Estates in Lian, Batangas in the next 10 years.

Lialto Beach and Golf Estates, which is approximately 2.5 hours away from Metro Manila and about 45 minutes away from Tagaytay, will be the 32nd township development of the Megaworld Group.

It will feature a residential village, a world-class 18-hole golf course, a beach clubhouse featuring an iconic 20-meter-tall lighthouse, landscaped gardens and a nearly one-kilometer coastline that includes a beach area.

“In the pursuit of its business, the company is guided by its social responsibility commitment to its stakeholders. The company aligns its sustainability initiatives to its parent Megaworld’s green program by cultivating a love for the earth mindset among its employees through its environmental health and safety programs,” Salomon said.
