MANILA, Philippines — AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) is further boosting its cold storage footprint nationwide with the launching of three new facilities this year.

ALLHC said it intends to start construction of one cold storage facility in Luzon and two more in Visayas and Mindanao within the year.

On top of these three new projects, the company is targeting to finish construction of ALogis Artico Santo Tomas in Batangas and ALogis Artico Mabalacat in Pampanga by the first half.

The Batangas-based cold facility is set for completion within the first quarter, while the Pampanga-based cold storage facility is set to be finished in the second quarter.

Both facilities would add 10,000 pallet positions to ALLHC’s cold storage portfolio.

ALLHC said both the Santo Tomas and Mabalacat facilities were specifically constructed to address the specific demands for more temperature-controlled facilities within the Southern and Central Luzon regions.

The intended clientele of the facilities spans the frozen meat, seafood, chemical industries and similar sectors.

“Over the years, we noticed a growing demand for more temperature-controlled facilities in the Southern and Central Luzon regions. When we studied the market, we found an opportunity to help address issues of food safety and security by building cold storage facilities in Santo Tomas, Batangas and Mabalacat, Pampanga,” ALLHC president and CEO Robert Lao said.

“Our overarching goal is to actively support the country’s promising cold chain sector and advance its supply chain logistics. In light of this, we envision ALogis Artico Santo Tomas and Mabalacat, along with the facilities in our existing portfolio and those in our current planning, as integral components within the supply chains of future tenants,” Lao said.

ALLHC is present in seven growth areas nationwide through its industrial parks, warehouses, cold storage facilities and commercial leasing.
