MANILA, Philippines — Logistics services provider Mober is accelerating the integration of electric vehicles (EVs) into its fleet after securing $2 million in seed funding.

Mober said the seed funding round led by RT Heptagon Holdings, a company chaired by Rex Tiri, has allowed the company to expand its EV fleet to 60.

The additional EVs enhances its capability to meet the rising demand for eco-friendly logistics services and is also aligned with the global shift towards sustainable practices by significantly reducing the carbon footprint of delivery operations.

Mober founder and CEO Dennis Ng said the funding round is a pivotal moment in the company’s mission to drive sustainable urban mobility.

Ng said the investment not only fuels Mober’s growth, but also reinforces its commitment to making a positive environmental impact.

To support further growth, Mober is anticipating another investment round before the end of the first quarter.

According to the company, the upcoming financial infusion is expected to further accelerate its initiatives in green logistics, and expand its reach and impact in the sector.

“As the EV market in the Philippines continues to grow, supported by favorable government policies and increasing consumer awareness, Mober’s initiatives are well-positioned to contribute to the country’s green transition,” it said.

“With its expanding fleet and innovative solutions, Mober is on track to become a leader in green logistics in Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines, paving the way for a more sustainable future in the industry,” it added.

As part of Mober’s commitment to leading the charge in sustainable logistics, the company is collaborating with IKEA Philippines to electrify 100 percent of its home delivery services by 2025.

Mober is also set to electrify same-day delivery services for SM Appliance Center, further integrating eco-friendly practices into mainstream retail logistics.
