Gasoline price to hike on October 17

MANILA, Philippines  — Oil companies are set to implement a price hike on gasoline on Tuesday, while implemtning a rollback on diesel prices.

In separate advisories, Shell, Seaoil, Petrogazz, Caltex and Cleanfuel announced that gasoline prices will increase by P0.55 per liter.

The price adjustment will end the three-week consecutive price rollback for gasoline.

Oil firms also announced that diesel price will be slashed by P0.95 per liter, while Shell, Seaoil and Caltex said that it will implement a decrease of P0.95 per liter on kerosene prices.

Based on the Department of Energy monitoring from October 10 to 12, the current retail prices for diesel and diesel-related products in Metro Manila varied within the range of P58.85 to P71.70 per liter and P66.25 to P84.85 per liter, respectively.

Other oil companies have yet to announce their price adjustments for Tuesday.
