Local IT firm inks partnership with Czech electrotech company
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino information technology firm Smart Citi Teknologi has inked an agreement to take over production of a Czech Republic firm’s technologies in the Philippines.
“The partnership is all about the takeover of all Tesla Technologies in the Philippines,” Smart Citi Teknologi president and CEO Mario Marcos said.
“And the production of all of these different technologies will be in the Philippines and will be an economic booster, creating jobs and opportunity for the people,”he said.
Established in 1921, Tesla Technologies was originally called Elektra, which started to work in the electrotechnical industry.
The company changed its name to Tesla in 1946. It.got its name from a famous Serbian electro engineer and scientist.
Starting from the 1950s, the company developed and covered the whole electrotechnical and new electronic industry producing semiconductors, electric bulbs, radio set, TV, military transmitters, big radio and TV transmitters, sensors, electronic metering systems up to water cleaning machines and house appliances.
Currently, the firm offers innovative technology solutions through Tesla Smart Technologies, which houses all the Tesla companies such as ignition cable manufacturer Tesla Blatna, Tesla Lighting and home communication equipment firm Tesla Stropkov.
Smart Citi Teknologi is a Filipino firm aiming to incorporate the Industrial 4.0 revolution composite technologies in private and public sectors.
Among the services offered by the company include consultancy, advanced technology training and research development technology platforms and software application designing, programming and production, as well as Industry 4.0 and 5.0 project management, among others.
“We have a lot of international ITs, very good in technology so we can integrate them,”Marcos said.
The partnership was signed by Marcos and Tesla Technologies chief executive officer Peter Matejcel.
