MANILA, Philippines — Double Dragon Properties Corp., the property company chaired by Edgar “Injap” Sia II and Tony Tan Caktiong, has formed a partnership with US-based Cargill.
Double Dragon’s CentralHub Industrial Centers Inc. has partnered with Cargill’s subsidiary in the Philippines, C-Joy Poultry Meats Production Inc.
Under the partnership, Cargill will form part of CentralHub’s leasable industrial portfolio. The agreement will enable Cargill to proceed with its planned facilities covering a total of about 30 hectares of industrial development across multiple locations.
Cargill is a globally recognized brand and is currently the largest private company in the US. At present, it operates across 70 countries as a food, agriculture, financial and industrial player.
CentralHub is Double Dragon’s industrial leasing arm, its newest business.
“This partnership with Cargill is in line with DoubleDragon’s vision to make CentralHub the leading provider of industrial complexes in the Philippines. These industrial facilities will add a substantial amount of leasable space to our growing leasable portfolio nationwide,” Sia said.
Sia said the deal with Cargill brings DoubleDragon closer to its vision of becoming the top industrial leasing player in the country.
With its growing recurring base, DoubleDragon aims to deliver the highest level of recurring revenue.
This is expected to come from its string of appreciating prime properties across the diversified sunrise industries of provincial retail, office, hotels and industrial facilities, he said.
