KonsultaMD partners with online pharmacy

MANILA, Philippines – KonsultaMD, an affiliate of Globe Telecom Inc., has tied up with online pharmacy MedGrocer to provide customers easy access to tested drugs via a door-to-door delivery of medicine and health supplements.

“We continue to look for ways to provide the best services to our members that is why we partnered with MedGrocer.  We want KonsultaMD to be a one-stop shop for their health needs.  This way, they will be able to save on time, effort, and money – three pain points in the Philippine healthcare industry,” KonsultaMD chief executive officer Maridol Ylanan said in a statement. 

MedGrocer provides the ordering and delivery service of WellBridge Health, a pharmacy licensed by the Food and Drug Administration. 

The online pharmacy provides medicines for allergies and asthma, cardiovascular ailments, cough and colds, diabetes, hypertension, infection, pain and fever, as well as vitamins and supplements.

Under the partnership, KonsultaMD’s members can get P200 worth of free medicine on their first order on MedGrocer by using the coupon code “KONSULTAMD”.

We are really excited to offer KonsultaMD members the option of having their medicines delivered to their doorstep,” MedGrocer chief executive officer Jerome Uy said. 

Earlier, KonsultaMD also forged a partnership with Lifeline Ambulance Rescue Inc. to allow members to get 50 percent off on the cost of Emergency Quick Response ambulance requests, as well as to enjoy Lifeline member rates for home care services including doctor house-calls, laboratory tests and minor procedures.

KonsultaMD is a joint venture of Globe with Salud Interactiva which is a leader in the health online space in Mexico. 

Composed of a team of skilled and licensed Filipino doctors, KonsultaMD provides medical assessment and advice, including basic healthcare and permissible medication over the phone 24/7 to members. 

While KonsultaMD’s service does not replace face-to-face interaction between doctors and patients, it provides a means for the public to have immediate and affordable medical attention when needed.

The service is also open to non-Globe users who can subscribe to KonsultaMD by going to a Globe store.
