PSALM auctions off P12.75-M contracts

MANILA, Philippines – The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM) is auctioning off a total of P12.75 million worth of contracts to provide security services for various government-owned plants and facilities in Luzon.

In a bid bulletin, PSALM is seeking bidders for the procurement of security services facilities namely its Mexico central warehouse and stockyard in Mexico, Pampanga, San Roque multi-purpose plant in Pangasinan and Angat hydroelectric power plant in Bulacan.

Each contract involves providing manpower security for the plants for a period of one year.

PSALM has approved a budget of P2.85 million for the security services contract for the Mexico warehouse, P4.9 million for the San Roque facility and P5 million for the Angat HEPP.

These amounts will be sourced from its 2016 and 2017 corporate operating budget for the portion of the contract that will be performed in those years.

PSALM has set a pre-bid conference in December and bid opening on Dec. 15.

The undertaking is only open to bidders who are Filipino-owned majority-owned organizations and have completed a similar contract within three years prior to deadline.
