The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO), one of the country’s leading banks, has been named among the Top 50 Asean Publicly Listed Companies in the inaugural Asean Corporate Governance Awards.

BDO regards corporate governance as an integral part of its successful business strategy, creating accountability throughout the institution and drives improvement in business results.

Over the years, the various recognitions received by the bank related to corporate governance have resulted to the solid trust and confidence of investors, customers and the community in general.

The Asean Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) gave the award using the Asean Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) as basis. ACMF is composed of capital market regulators from 10 Asean jurisdictions — Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, selected BDO branches in the National Capital Region (NCR) are ready to serve their clients and the general public but with shortened banking hours during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on Nov. 18 (Wednesday) and 19 (Thursday).

The complete list of the branches can be accessed in www.bdo.com.ph. BDO branches outside the NCR are business as usual. Its ATMs and electronic banking will continue to handle transactions and other banking services.
