Robinsons Place creates new downtown in General Trias

MANILA, Philippines - The new Robinsons Place General Trias is a natural fit for the suburban explosion in Cavite  which is now considered part of Metro Manila. Located along EPZA Diversion Road Bacao, the mall is close to the Cavite Export Processing Zone. Its location is among a road network crisscrossing densely populated areas of business and commercial centers, residences and schools.

Standing on a 55,237-sqm site, Robinsons Place is designed to be the new landmark in industrialized Gen. Trias.  Although the bold lines and solid colors symbolize the vision of urbanity,  architectural firm Asya Designs still drew inspiration from the municipality’s natural beauty and its main product, the labong, the bamboo shoots,  to give the mall a sense of place.

The façade of the three-story mall looks like a little modern village, linked with buildings of uneven roof lines. Instead of a boring box, canopies provide visual interest and protection from sun and rain.  The colors echo the cerulean sky and waters of Gen. Trias.

In keeping with countryside ambiance, an al fresco section has an  open rooftop that welcomes the natural sunlight and the cool air. Water features on the ground floor  provides relaxing sights and sounds. 

Most of the dining establishments on this side bring the outdoor feeling while being indoors. For visitors who want to grab a quick bite, they can enter the al fresco area without passing through the main mall.

Over 400 tenants  – restaurants, fashion, beauty, specialty and services stores – will serve the needs of the market. The mall is anchored by Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Appliances, Robinsons Bank, South Star Drugstore, Handyman and Daiso, the Japanese franchise of house-brand goods.

For entertainment, the state-of-the-art Robinsons Movieworld is composed of six cinemas with extra seats for persons with disability. Aside from cinemas and an amusement center, electronic supplies can be had at Digiworld.  As a community service, Robinsons Lingkod Pinoy Center has set up services for NBI clearance, LTO license renewal and  SSS payments.
