SM, BDO hosting Forbes Global CEO Forum in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - The Sy-led SM Investments Corp. and BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) are jointly supporting the Forbes Global CEO Forum to be held for the first time in the country from Oct. 12 to 14.

SM vice chair and BDO chairperson Teresita Sy-Coson, will be among the speakers of the three-day conference, joining 49 other prominent global business leaders and entrepreneurs.

“We look forward to the discussions to be generated from the forum which will provide fresh perspectives on the evolving global business environment and the kinds of leadership that can potentially emerge under such a dynamic landscape,” she said in a statement yesterday.

The CEO forum, with the theme, “Toward a Winning Vision,” will focus on visionary leadership and look into how companies can best conceive and articulate a winning vision to drive their businesses forward.

The discussions aim to gather insights on topics such as the world economy, investment strategies, energy, technology and innovation, emerging markets, leadership, succession and philanthropy.

Other firms co-hosting the conference include International Container Terminal Services, Inc. and San Miguel Corp.

Berjaya Corp., Vista Land, Biomax Technologies, FICOFI and Weber Shandwick Worldwide are also supporting the three-day event.
